Job Description:
To manage and coordinate all telephonic communication and systems within the hospital in a professional manner to ensure efficient and effective communication on behalf of Mediclinic
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend to all calls timeously in a professional manner ensuring that client expectations are exceeded
- Operate the hospital Telephone system daily as per policy and procedure
- Follow the Hospital Emergency Preparedness Process in the event of an emergency as per Disaster and Emergency Plan
- Check the Hospital alarm system daily and notify the relevant department in case of an emergency as per the Alarm Emergency Manual
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained as per policy and procedure
Job Requirements:
- Experience in private healthcare or similar environment; Switchboard operations and systems; hospital emergency proceduresComputer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Hospital Disaster and Emergency processes; procedures and policies
- Switchboard systems and operations
- Grade 12 or equivalent
