Job Description:

The Medical Affairs Specialist: Plans, coordinates, and executes evidence management process to ensure claims substantiation for specific JJV products, copy clearance review (assets, scientific publications, presentations, communication materials etc.) and other core work conducted by Medical Affairs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organizes medical and technical information and educational content regarding the safe and effective use of company products to health care providers and other customers.
  • Maintains relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the information integrity. Integrates appropriate information into training programs.
  • Screens and process of unsolicited medical information requests.
  • Supports a variety of medical operations. Participates in the company’s product surveillance program which includes following up on adverse reaction reports.
  • Leads multiple cross-functional project evidence teams to generate and execute against integrated evidence generation and dissemination plans that meet prioritized regional needs for new JJV product launches and life-cycle management for existing JJV products.
  • Supports clinical educational activities that facilitate learning regarding clinically relevant information to medical professionals.
  • Develops internal and external partnerships to develop innovative new ways to showcase how JJV products meet customer needs.
  • Ensures robust substantiation is documented for JJV product claims.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to manage complexity and demonstrated record of effective partnering with cross-functional groups is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and to facilitate and resolve cross-functional activities and issues is required
  • Graduate level education preferred (e.g. PhD, Pharm D)
  • B.S./B.A. with minimum of 5-7 years experience in health care related or research field including proficiency with data management, publication planning and strategy and project management is required
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of data management practices is required
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
