Job Description:

To provide specialist knowledge and insight towards the strategic objectives and the management of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) portfolio. To develop, implement, and monitor Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Employment Equity (EE) strategies, plans and initiatives to enable the business to attract and retain diverse talent, as well as create the most enabling culture for a diverse workforce. This involves a deep understanding and experience in the disciplines of culture, talent, inclusion and the management of the D&I Transformation mandate. To analyse and translate DEI information into meaningful management information for scorecards and actions plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, implementation and monitoring of Sasol SA EE/ Diversity Plan and responsible for interpreting and analysing EE data, statutory and internal reporting analysis and insights.
  • Collaboratively translate those priorities into concrete and fit-for-purpose D&I plans and initiatives that aim to build the required future capabilities or address gaps in either motivation, culture alignment or buy-in on specific areas of organisational change.
  • Provide support and expert advice on BBBEE strategy (Management Control and Employment Equity), and partner with key stakeholders including facilitation of Department of Employment and Labour & Director General inspections.
  • Engage with the key business stakeholders and HR teams to build a deep understanding of strategic business priorities with regards to D&I and EE Transformation priorities.
  • Provide advice and support to leaders on matters related to D&I and culture in order to implement D&I initiatives and/or address D&I challenges effectively.
  • Integrate D&I priorities into the culture transformation journey, talent landscape and leadership development, by engaging with the relevant process owners
  • Continuously explore new trends and thinking in the disciplines of culture, talent and inclusion to be able to provide solutions that are aligned with the latest thought leadership and research.
  • Drive the EE Strategy, programs and initiatives for Sasol Energy Business Unit and Sasol SA in relation to legislative frameworks (e.g. Employment Equity Act, and BBBEE Management Control.) as well as relevant legislative requirements across other markets.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge on the Employment Equity Act, B-BBEE Act and other relevant related legislations.
  • B-BBEE Reporting – Management Control.
  • Data and trends analysis.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering methods.
  • University Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ relevant years in EE Transformation and D&I Strategies.
  • Risk and compliance principles.
  • EE Reporting and Verification.
