Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures products are competitively priced, meeting price image and financial objectives as directed by the BDM
- Manages implementation of mid- to-large pricing projects and initiatives
- Represents BDM in meetings (note taking, presenting updates, clarifying, notifying BDM of priority action steps)
- Creates promotional product surveys for promotional events including forecasting, store allocation
- Executes promotional event tasks, including coupons, PI tracking, and OMS offers
- Executes broker’s functions when no broker exists (e.g., secure product samples)
- Coordinates test sets
- Executes consistent pricing strategies for BDM in communication materials / branding throughout pricing programs, processes, policies, and other H-E-B initiatives
- Manages data entry of cost and retail relationships to support marketing and merchandising strategies
- Develops templates / processes to track category performance and / or run category reports
- Identifies, researches, and resolves issues with no BDM involvement
- Supports BDM
- Drafts communications / presentations
- Recommends solutions to process problems
- Develops / coordinates agenda and travel itinerary for key BDM supplier or retail visit trips
- Manages new item submission and setup process after items have been selected by BDM, including eCommerce
- Assists in assortment decisions and new item placements
- Provides input / makes recommendations on new events, promotions, and ad language
Job Requirements:
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Intermediate PC skills, including MS Office, and software programs required by the job
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines; ability to multi-task
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams
- Strong analysis skills
- Strong written / verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation / influencing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; customer service-oriented; ability to work cohesively on internal / external contacts
