Job Description:

The Parkway Tech I supports overall operations by assisting in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs on Material Handling Equipment (MHE); receives training to advance technical abilities; works under immediate supervision from detailed verbal / written instructions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receives training from Parkway Techs II and III to advance skillset
• Completes minor component rebuilding
• Maintains sanitary and safe work environment
• Performs complete mechanical and hydraulic repairs on company handling equipment
• Performs routine and scheduled maintenance
• Completes limited repairs on electronic MHE
• Operates hoists, jacks, lathes, presses, forklifts, hand tools and industrial power tools to include electrical test equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
  Repairs internal combustion support equipment
• Fills out all work orders

Job Requirements:

• Use arms / hands in repetitive motion during the day
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to properly wear PPE for an extended time
• Operate and use hand tools, power tools, and MHE on a regular basis
• Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays
• Required to wear foot protection
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds a distance of 15 feet Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules
• Basis Tool set

Qualification & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of technician experience
