Job Description:

This role is responsible for the protection of the company’s distribution of retail store assets by investigating the loss of assets including: merchandise, money and property. This role oversees and conducts internal and external investigations and assists in the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures related to safety and security. The incumbent will also support shrink initiatives, and lead and direct activities of the Asset Protection Associates within their Districts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable about Company shrink initiatives and strategy and ensures Store Detective compliance.
• Verify all required communication is present and current throughout the store and applicable departments.
• Maintain a working knowledge of store inventory and how it impacts the success of our business.
• Oversee the case management process and review Asset Protection Coordinator/ Asset Protection Officers reports for accuracy.
• This role primarily supports the profit risk assessment across stores they are assigned to, and other duties as assigned
• Provide Asset Protection expertise, direction, and training to Store Management. Assist with the training and development of Store
• Department Managers to ensure they have a working knowledge of all department shrink activities including how to complete shrink books, submit claims, and how to identify and submit markdown requests. Additionally, validate their understanding of the sales to purchase department process.
• Review shrink best practices and execution of shrink reduction strategy drivers on store visits.
• Coach stores on areas such as rotation, backroom organization and additional shrink reduction opportunities.
• Review weekly and period reporting and assist in reacting to issues and opportunities seen in assigned District.
• Establish and foster a positive relationship with all Regional Store Directors and Store Managers by addressing concerns, demonstrating leadership and accountability and driving for results.
• Represent Regional/Brand Asset Protection for all weekly/period meetings.
• Oversee and assist in implementation of store security equipment for new stores, remodels and acquisitions.
• Training and oversite of Asset Protection Coordinator/ Asset Protection Officer
• Maintain industry-standard interviewing and interrogation skills, conduct interviews, and collect all necessary evidence and documentation for specific investigations.
• Establish contacts and working relationships with various law enforcement agencies and raise awareness regarding the impact of Organized Retail Crime.
• Represent the company in court as required and remember the importance of protecting the Brand.
• Conducts daily store tours identifying rotation, markdown, store use, and receiving deficiencies.

Qualification & Experience:

• Must be able to work in a team
• Ability to work flexible work schedule
• 2 – 4 Years of either law enforcement or management experience
• Associate’s Degree
• Business operation and retail operation experience
• Proficient written communication skills
• 2 – 4 Years of either law enforcement or management experience
• Ability to travel 25%-50%
