Job Description:
The Head of Business Management Support is responsible for both direct and indirect cost control of the whole GM&T infrastructure (a key balance scorecard required for the department) and therefore has to maintain close relationships with Group Market Risk, Treasury Finance, (Tanfeeth) Treasury Operations and Group IT to ensure overall work processes and costs are efficient and maximizes either revenue, cost savings, reduce operational risk and improve customer service/experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing Management Information System (MIS) for GM&T as required on a regular or ad-hoc basis presenting this in written format as required. This involves co-ordination with Treasury Finance.
- Document the adequate reason for any technical breaches with supporting and ensure the agreed process is followed for genuine breaches
- To be source of reference within GM&T unit in facilitating and promoting the understanding of Operational Risk, Market & Credit Risk and compliance requirements.
- To ensure that minimum acceptable ratings achieved by any Audit undertaken involving with any Audit comments arising from such Audits.
- Proactively communicate with the Desk heads on operational risk and other related issues. Escalate significant events as appropriate.
- Responsible for intraday limit monitoring process of Market risk limits for Trading and ALM Desks as well as International branches. To ensure limits are correctly updated in the system and issue mandates as and when necessary
- Reviewing the relevant sections within the Business Operating Policy to ensure it is relevant and keep up to date. Review, design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for governance, compliance and operational risk management.
- To ensure that new/existing processes/procedures relating to the Treasury are correctly reflected ensuring any new requirements, including new products, use the NPPA process accordingly obtaining all stakeholder buy-in. Undertake constant Operational Risk Control Assessments for Sales identifying and discussing risks with the line Manager, GM&T and undertake appropriate mitigating actions as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- Experience of budgets, finance monitoring, reporting & controls.
- Minimum 7 years banking experience ideally in a large/International bank. Experience in varied areas in banking (i.e. Treasury, IT, Operations, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Project Management)
- Corporate and or Treasury ACT certification/Banking Exams (Desirable)
- Managerial Leadership Accreditation (Desirable)
- Six Sigma or related capacity planning/re-engineering certification (Desirable)
