Job Description:

The Seattle Division’s District 24 has an opening for Grocery Manager in Mill Creek, WA. This is a full time, non-union, non-exempt hourly position, and an excellent career move in preparation to move into retail management through the Retail Leadership Training (RLD) Program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Superior Service goals of the Department
• In the absence of the Deli Manager, supervise department staff to include scheduling, training and assigning duties
• Lead department as a positive role model
• Monitor to ensure variety standards are followed, as well as 100% compliance on ad item display
• In the absence of the Deli Manager, ensure paperwork, as set by the Division, is followed
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by management
• Responsible for the sales and profitability of the Department
• Implement all merchandising programs
• Ensure standards of Department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, rotation, quality, ordering, variety standards, signing, seasonal schematic
• Responsible for ordering and inventory control to meet division “turn” goals
• Ensure the Department has the highest quality of product available for the customer

Qualification & Experience:

• Exemplary Customer Service experience
• Knowledge of all positions within the store
• Prior experience as a clerk or person-in-charge
• College degree with 6 months retail experience, and/or
• Combination of 4 years college and retail (2 yrs college/2 yrs retail/retail management), and/or,
• High school graduate and 4 years retail/retail management
• Ability to work independently
• Retail Management certificate through WAFC strongly preferred
