Job Description:

The Warehouse Maintenance Mechanic II worker is responsible for maintenance and construction jobs including carpentry, metal fabrication, minor electrical wiring, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, assigned cleaning and safety inspections, painting, and plumbing tasks pertinent to the general up-keep of the distribution center and equipment. Responsibilities include operating equipment in a safe manner, while maintaining a safe and clean working area and ensuring that our location is in functioning within company and OSHA standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs all maintenance work, inspections or checks as directed.
• Writes up major defects found while performing inspections or checks.
• Completes all work orders and turns back into maintenance office.
• Completes requisitions for required material.
• Completes and updates all work order reports.
• Repairs the following types of equipment: powered vehicles, storage racks, batteries, charges, and dock levelers.
• Repairs minor defects found while performing inspections including cleaning, lubrication and fluid replenishment.
• Assists other mechanics in performing major repairs.
• Generates appropriate paperwork (i.e. report writing).
• Assists in training and providing work direction to other mechanics.

Job Requirements:

• Able to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time.
• Able to individually lift and maneuver 35 lbs frequently and repetitively (up to a maximum of 75 lbs; with or without reasonable accommodation).

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience in Mechanical maintenance (e.g. carpentry, electrical, plumbing experience, motorized conveyor)
• 2 years of job related experience and/or equivalent amount of education and experience
  Forklift certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
